Hook — first 3 seconds
Most course creators outline their course completely backwards.
Clip script
Most course creators build their outline around topics. That is the single biggest mistake I see. Topics are how a textbook is organised — they are not how a person learns a skill. Think of it like a staircase: every lesson has to be one step up from the last one, and the step has to be small enough that nobody has to jump. So here's the framework I use. I call it the outcome ladder.
If your course outline is a list of topics, you built it backwards. Topics are how textbooks are organised, not how people learn a skill. Build the outcome first, then work backwards.
Why this clip works: Opens on a corrected misconception, which creates tension in the first second and gives the viewer a reason to stay for the framework that follows.
